About this tool
Photos taken on phones and cameras often embed EXIF metadata, including GPS location, device model and timestamps. This tool removes that hidden data by redrawing the image onto a blank canvas and re-exporting it, which strips metadata while keeping the visible image the same.
Frequently asked questions
What metadata does this remove?
It removes EXIF data such as camera model, GPS location, timestamps and any other metadata embedded by your camera or phone.
Does this reduce image quality?
The image is re-encoded, so there may be a very small, generally unnoticeable quality change for JPG images. PNG stays lossless.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No, metadata removal happens entirely in your browser by redrawing the image onto a blank canvas.
